Happy Birthday Image 24 Photography!!!! What a milestone day today it is! Today is the official launch of the new website, and officially the beginning of my new business. Thank you so much to all of my portfolio building clients for taking a chance on me in order to build my client base and get lots of practice taking photos of your family milestones! Hmmm... probably the surprise party my family threw for me on my 30th birthday. Having everyone together was a great gift.

This is kind of hard. It would probably be an embosser that my husband picked out and bought me for my birthday. It was totally his idea and that's what made it so great! Oh yes, AND he threw me a surprise party for my 30th- it was all his idea and he did it up well!

My favorite birthday gift was a handmade book from my husband. It was all about his search to find me.
I've been thinking really hard about birthday gifts, and only one comes to mind. It's a gift my mom gave me when I turned 13 (yes - that was a LONG time ago)! She gave me a little pouch with makeup in it. I think the reason it stands out is because that was a way for her to be close to me and understand the age I was at and the fact that her little girl was growing up. It's funny the things that leave an imprint in our memories.
I would have to say it was when I turned 21 in Vegas! I was living with my sister and working at Cesars Palace while attending college. Being underage while working at the casino led me to have a countdown on a piece of paper until the big day. My dad made a surprise trip out to Vegas to be with me on the big day. After dinner, he supplied me with money to use at the casino's on my first night of being legal. I put some quarters into the slot machine and ended up winning $250. That is an incredible amount of money for a college student. I remember the incredible excitement I felt,and that birthday is
crystal clear. Congrats on having your birthday and I'm sure there will be many more to be celebrated.
